Thank you for your kind words Diana! :)
So, this was an interesting 10 on 10. Wes and I took the kids to see the Monster Trucks this past Sunday in Hamilton because he had been itching to go and he wanted to share something he enjoyed as a child with our boys. Apparently, I went to see Monster Trucks when I was a kid too but I don’t remember. Guess I blocked it out of my brain haha. Not that I’m super girly or anything, but big trucks, loud noise, dirt flying … that ain’t my thing! But I love introducing the boys to new adventures, so I was down to go. Plus, we went with our friends and neighbours, which made it much more enjoyable!
Have any of you been to a Monster Truck show? Well, it was umm .. loud! Loud doesn’t even begin to explain it. I’ll probably be deaf when I’m old, but I really hate wearing ear plugs. Wesley told me I’d need head phones but I didn’t think it was necessary. They are professional grade head phones but they squeeze my poor ears, so I wasn’t having it. All I can say is, thank god he brought some ear plugs for me. The minute the first truck drove in, I literally freaked in my chair. It was so LOUD, oh my god … I can’t even begin to describe the sound. Apparently, Wes said my face was priceless and as I frantically covered my ears. I’m sure he’ll tell people I looked like I just peed my pants (and no, I did not thank you very much haha) but it was absolutely deafening. I couldn’t get those plugs in my ears fast enough LOL but once they were in, I have to say, I enjoyed the show more than I thought I would. Other than the noise, numerous pee breaks, and the people walking around selling $15 shaved ice (yes, ridiculous), I know the boys had a great time as did we (although their favourite part of the day was getting Disney tattoos, hmm). I will admit it was frustrating not being able to talk to them or answer their many questions as the show went on, but I know they loved it and that’s all that matters. Needless to say, I’m so glad I was shooting my 10 on 10 on Sunday – it forced me to take my camera for the ride, which made for a whole new kind of 10 on 10 this month (I think there’s more than 10 photos this month, shhh!!!). Enjoy!
