Round two, ding ding ding! ;)
This time, we have the gorgeous Katie and her stupidly gorgeous family on the blog today! Katie and I have a cool story as to how we met! We were pregnant at the same time with our twins. She knew she was having girls and we were pretty sure we were having boys (at least one). We met on a message board, became friends on Facebook, and realised shortly after that we had a mutual acquaintance (Katie’s cousin James, who works with my Dad). Since then, Katie and I have shared many stories and come to each other for support — I cannot stress enough how different it is raising twins. Only a twin mama would know this, so I’ve come to really value and appreciate our friendship!
OK .. onto the girls … aren’t they gorgeous? Like little dolls, they have the most beautiful blond hair and blue eyes I’ve ever seen! And they couldn’t have looked cuter for their session. It’s funny, I always thought twin boys were harder than twin girls. I take that back. I thought these girls would be full of hugs and kisses for each other but I couldn’t be more wrong! They are just like my boys. Normal two year olds, meltdowns and all. Ah, that makes me feel so much better! ;) They weren’t that interested in having their photo taken so I had to take on more of a candid approach. Despite this, I still grabbed some gorgeous shots that I personally love!
This last shot is my ultimate favourite. Sometimes, it isn’t about the smiles and the pose. Sometimes, it’s about the moment … something about this shot speaks to me. I would blow this up huge in my house if I could. It screams innocence and curiosity, something I’m always striving to capture when I photograph kids! Katie & Bart, thanks so much for asking me to capture your girls. I’ll get the rest to you as soon as possible! In the meantime, enjoy your sneak peak! I hope you like it! :)
