What a gorgeous day to meet a gorgeous family in one of the most gorgeous locations in Burlington. Simply …. gorgeous!! ;) All kidding aside, it was an absolutely beautiful morning for a session (and I’m not a morning person, ask anyone)! Shaneen and I had been talking for a while about doing something special to capture her daughter Alayah at 6 months of age. Two ideas came to mind, one being the beach, and I cannot tell you how thrilled I was that they chose to make the trek out here to have a session with me!
I went out the night before to check out areas with potential — anything can happen when you’re working with a baby, so I knew I had to find those sweet spots in advance in case she crashed and burned quickly during our session; but she did nothing of the sort! Alayah was so sweet!! So smiley! So accommodating! And my goodness, she just loved the water and sand. I loved watching her dip her tiny toes in the water while she waved at me and squealed. I loved the way the wind blew her hair. The best was watching her explore sand; the way it slipped through her fingers and the face she made when she ate it for the first time (don’t be fooled, she kept going back for more haha). Most of all, I loved the way she looked at her parents with so much love, trust, and affection.
I left the session a couple hours later feeling refreshed and invigorated (and yes, slightly heat exhausted). It isn’t every day that you meet such a wonderfully sweet family, such as Shaneen’s. I feel privileged that I was able to capture your precious moments and hope to capture many more in the future! Here’s your sneak peak!!!
