“A man’s kiss is his signature” — this is so true! In fact, this little man already has a jump start on having the best lips I’ve ever seen on a baby! And boy, did he know how to use them!
I was so excited to meet this little man! His mama and I had been planning his session for months in advance. I was prepared for his session, but was surprised to hear that he arrived 2 weeks earlier than scheduled! Guess he just couldn’t wait to meet his beautiful mama and proud dada, which doesn’t surprise me in the least since his parents are two of the nicest people you could ever meet!
Gianluca was a joy to photograph! Incredibly unique and defying the odds, I found my little bunny was most comfortable without the extra fuss I normally extend for babies in an effort to keep them in a deep sleep. It was a hot and sticky day, which I’m sure helped, but it was clear he preferred keeping cool while being lulled to sleep by Phil Collins over the white noise I brought to the session. When he wasn’t sleeping, he had the cutest personality to boot! He made tons of faces, lots of smiles, and loved cooing for the camera. I already mentioned his kissable lips, but he also had the most beautiful fair skin, blue eyes, and red hair I’ve ever seen — a pleasant surprise to say the least although I hear he looks just like his grandpa (awww!!)!
Before I get to the sneak peak, I gotta say … I feel incredibly blessed that I get to meet and photograph babies for a living. I know how important documenting this time in their lives is but I can’t help but feel lucky that this is my job. Melissa & John, thank you so much for your kindness and hospitality! I loved bonding with your son. He really touched my heart. I hope, in return, that these images touch yours!
