So … up until a month ago, I had only photographed newborn baby girls in Burlington and surrounding cities. And as much as I love baby girls, I wanted boys too. So I made my plea, and within a week, I captured 3 newborn baby boys in a row! This week, I’m back to documenting baby girls! And I couldn’t be more pleased!
Meet Mila from Oakville. She was feisty yet laid back (yes, it’s entirely possible to encompass both traits at the same time). At 2 weeks of age, she already lost her newborn curl and didn’t care to be touched while she slumbered BUT she made up for it in total cuteness and spunk. Plus, she let me do something I’ve never done before with any newborn to date — she let me bring her outdoors! That’s right, I took her outdoors and placed her to sleep in her beautiful backyard garden! I was so excited to have such a warm day to do this and it totally payed off.
Mila was a joy to photograph! She has the cutest little dimple I have ever seen and didn’t poop on any of my blankets (she saved all the poop for Daddy LOL)!! She also has the cutest big brother named Remy who did such a great job posing for the camera. Mary & Rob, thank you so much for allowing me to document such an important stage in your baby girl’s life. I had a great time catching up with you both and look forward to many more memories down the line! Enjoy your sneak peak! I bid you adieu with one final thought — HOT DOG! ;)
PS: A big heartfelt thank you to all the people who supplied the props for this shoot (newborn wraps from Val at Kozies and my sister in law Hope, the cutest bunny ears from Jaime, and the most wonderful girly diaper cover from Kim at For My 3 Girls).
