The amazing Blair & Jeff are up on the blog today. They are the sweetest couple, I am so excited to share their wedding with you! We started in the heart of Niagara at one of the hotels right by the Falls. The guys were done getting ready but Jeff had a gift to open from Blair that I wanted to capture. I loved this kid and he clearly knew the way to my heart – with selfies of course ;) Jeff, I gotta say, you looked so handsome! And so ready to get married! We left the guys for the girls who were getting ready at Blair’s parents home close by. Yep, she’s stunning right?! Look at her beautiful blue eyes! I just loved the mood in their living room. The light was really pretty and the bluey/green vintage type tones made for a really beautiful look for Blair. So, there’s a little story to go along with the next set of images. Apparently, Blair doesn’t cry. But she did when she read Jeff’s letter and opened his gift. I watched a single tear drop fall so elegantly from her face; it was out of a movie and so darn beautiful to witness. We enjoyed a few sweet moments outside in their gorgeous backyard before making our way to Queenston Heights for the ceremony. Boy, were we in for a real treat! Like I said, we were in a for a real treat! Queenston Heights is so beautiful! The grounds were exquisite and the views were really quite magnificent! It was a stunning venue to exchange vows. I loved this moment! Stolen glances, sweet exchanges. It was a really gorgeous ceremony and perfect fall day! After the ceremony, we tried to take some photos of the entire bridal party. But the kiddies weren’t having it — it was pretty darn cute if you ask me but the show must go on! My favourite part of the day – bridal portraits. Aren’t Blair and Jeff just the sweetest? I keep saying that because they truly are! They giggled all day, which made my heart burst. As I mentioned earlier, the grounds are beautiful at Queenston Heights. There was no need to venture off the property. We found this spot particularly great for a few bride/groom portraits, as well as full bridal shots! And as you can see, there was a lot more laughter to be had. And it wasn’t even at my expense this time! There’s usually one comic in the bridal party who keeps everyone in stitches — and well, this wedding was no different! I also have to remark on the choices Blair and Jeff made for their bridal party. I love that everyone had a colour to themselves; it’s a great way to allow each member of the bridal party to feel special. And those fall jewel tones couldn’t be more perfect! More laughs and great moments. Ladies, you gotta pass your bouquets to the fella’s more often. I can’t tell you how funny it gets when the boys get a chance to be a little girly haha! It’s too bad we couldn’t get closer to the lookout. It really was quite the sight; but it did make for a wonderful backdrop to take a few more intimate photos of this great group of friends. Aren’t they just an incredible looking group! Well done you guys! After we finished bridal portraits, we made our way to the reception and shot a few decor photos before the dinner began. And wow …dinner and dessert was beyond words. Probably some of the best food I’ve ever had period. I am not embarrassed to admit that I enjoyed it a lot! Just look at their cupcakes — hello!! After everyone was introduced, Blair and Jeff had their first dance, which was heartfelt and so incredibly sweet. Now, in addition to the food being amazing, this wedding goes down as being one of the most entertaining receptions I’ve ever attended. There were lots of laughs and a few tears. But a lot of laughter. And the table we sat at with some of Blair and Jeff’s closest friends was awesome (hi you guys!!!). Their friends and family sure know how to have a good time. And it shows; keep reading! Lots more photos from their dinner. There were too many not to share. And so many looked incredible as black and white too! See what I mean? Total unequivocal sweethearts they are! And the sweetness didn’t stop there. When Blair danced with her father, I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room. It was really beautiful to watch. After Jeff danced with his mom, the party got underway! And boy, were their guests ready to party! See if you can spot my second shooter Kelsey (aka: the photo bomb girl) haha! We had way too much fun! Blair and Jeff, it was a magical day as you know — but it wasn’t just magical for you. It was for me too. Truly. I know you two will share the love you have for each other forever. So, for me, it was a true honour. Robyn xo
