Happy New Year!
My first post for 2013 and a personal one at that (my blog has been a little sick but it’s up and running again finally, phew)!!
Anyway, I am always looking for ways to keep myself fresh and inspired. I’ve done a few projects now (project 365 and 52) that I’ve followed through with, all dedicated to my family. But I needed a new challenge. And then this came along. 10 on 10. In a nutshell, I will be taking one day a month to document my life. It can be any day I want and the idea is to post 10 photos on the 10th day of every month. I’ve seen a few variations on this project. I chose to shoot for 10 hours consecutively and used today to pick my favourite 10 from the day to post. But it turned out to be 12 photos since I shot on the 12th of January (I’m 2 days late so I did it to be fair). And then I threw in one more for good luck. Ack! This is going to be hard! Next month, it’ll be 10. And I’ll post on the 10th. If I broke the rules this time around, don’t hate. I tried. And I had fun. Most of all, I was inspired. I hope you are too.
So, here goes my 10 on 10 for January (title under each image):
the office
waitingÂ
first dance
drenchedÂ
soulful
tub thumping (sorry, I had way too many photos from this series to share)
beauty rest
bedhead (yes, they still nap at 4 1/2)
monkey business
milestone celebrationsÂ
cupcake sadness (don’t worry, he got a cupcake – he can be very impatient haha!)
motown karaoke
good times
I’ll be posting my next 10 on 10 on February 10. In the meantime, please check out fellow photographers Diana Nazareth and Sarah Hancox and their 10 on 10 projects for this month. I have to say, I am thrilled that I’m doing this with photographers I respect and know personally (our little 10 on 10 circle is growing too so more people will be involved next month, which is super exciting). Thanks for checking out a day in my shoes! Robyn xo
