And so begins the love story of Lindsay and John. Married at last. And what a gorgeous day it was. I’ve spent a good year working with Lindsay and John before their big day – so it goes without saying that this trip down memory lane really reminded me of how beautiful their wedding was and how cute these two are!
I made my way to Lindsay and John’s home first to capture a few shots of the “boys”.
Doesn’t John look so handsome?
While I was there, John’s brother presented him with a gift from Lindsay. It was a sweet moment. Apparently, Lindsay doesn’t do cards! ;)
Lots of laughs. This was just the beginning, believe me!
We left Burlington for Milton, which is where we met Lindsay and her lovely family and friends. Gosh, isn’t Lindsay just the cutest thing! She was beaming!
And you know me and details…
I really love this next series of photos. They really do speak for itself.
At this time, Lindsay was presented with a gift from John. All I can say is, good job man! Diamonds are a girls best friend, never forget it ;)
The beautiful bride to be :)
Geraldo’s at La Salle Park is a gorgeous place in Burlington surrounded by greenery and water. It made for the perfect backdrop for Lindsay and John to tie the knot. And might I add, a smart choice as the gazebo kept people cool while providing the most amazing light for us to capture their heartfelt ceremony.
Just love…
The kiss!
And lots of tender and cute moments…
Alright… here’s where things got a little interesting hehe. Every couple forgets things on their wedding day. Well, they forgot the funnel for their sand ceremony that followed so it definitely made for an exciting watch. Lindsay, your facial expressions made my day!
It was certainly a memorable occasion!
After the ceremony, as part of their Irish heritage, Lindsay and John were presented with several horseshoes from John’s niece and nephew.
A few silly moments and we were ready to rock their family and bridal party portraits! Don’t ask haha ;)
Thes girls were just lovely and the boys kept us in stitches, a pretty nice mix if you ask me!
Onto one of my favourite parts of the day – bridal portraits! And while it was a gorgeous day, the sun decided to shine directly on them as we began. That flare was simply mesmerising. I just knew these photos were going to be amazing!
As we made our way through the grounds, here’s a highlight of some of my favourite shots!
And my personal fave…
*sigh*
And just a couple more of Lindsay because she was so gorgeous and was willing to lie on the grass for me. I’d say it was worth it for the shot as it can also be seen here – you know, in a national magazine. No big deal ;)
Their reception was beautiful. Geraldo’s at La Salle Park did an amazing job decorating the room for Lindsay and John. It was classy and elegant with lots of memories to last a lifetime…
like their first dance…
And their cake cutting, mmm!
And while the night was filled with emotional speeches, lots of impromptu a capella songs, laughter and tears … it really was just the start of an amazing evening amongst family and friends. We definitely felt the love and were treated with open arms.
The perfect way to end the night; with dancing, amazing music, and the moon shining down on us all.
Lindsay and John, I cannot begin to explain how nice it is to know two of the most down to earth people I know. You made my job incredibly easy. You gave me love and inspiration and for that, I can never thank you enough for being who you are. I am excited to watch you flourish in your lives! Until next time, Robyn xo
