Oh, where do I begin with this amazing couple. They are funny. Loving. Cool. Sweet. Did I mention funny? I mean, they really have it all (and I knew it from the moment we first met). How did I know? It’s a supernatural talent of mine to know these things, true story! ;) All kidding aside and with everyone back to school, I felt this post was quite fitting. Meet Andrea and Joe :)
Now, don’t be fooled by the photo above. They are all business here but that didn’t last long. When we started coming up with ideas for the shoot, we knew right away that a teacher theme would be fun and appropriate given Andrea’s profession. And it was. I’ve never seen two people enjoy throwing a bunch of apples around more than these two! Don’t worry, we didn’t leave Joe out. Trust me. This is only the beginning!
So sweet right? Did anyone notice how Joe reads? He’s extra smart reading his books upside down! ;)
Stop being so cute already. Really. I mean it and I told them to stop (and they did). But then they did this (below), pulled out a little Justin Timberlake and brought sexy back. It’s a good thing the sprinklers held off haha!!
And then this happened. One of my favourite photos that I’ve ever taken. Period. And believe me, it looks beautiful and the ivy looks like a big fluffy pillow that they laid on for hours, but it was cold and wet and more wet (did I mention wet??). But they were troopers and were willing to get a little dirty for what I knew was going to be “the shot” and well, you be the judge. How did they do? :)
After a quick and not so quick wardrobe change in public (hahah long story), we made our way to the water for a little fun!
OK … a lot of fun! And this wasn’t even the funniest part of the night. This was…
Yes. This just happened. Joe is a paramedic and felt strongly that his profession play a role in these photos too. So, we made it happen. Oh yes. It made for a good laugh and honestly, these photos just make me smile. It’s clear Andrea and Joe are in it for the long run. Having been married for over 7 years now, I can tell you that the secret to a good marriage is a good sense of humour. And they have it and then some!
As our session came to an end, I realised even more how special Andrea and Joe really are. To me personally. I feel like I’ve known these two for years (Andrea’s sister Marie is an amazing photographer and dear friend of mine). Needless to say, I am so excited for their big day in November and feel so incredibly honoured that I get to capture their love yet again!
Andrea & Joe, you are the definition of love and happiness. From the bottom of my heart to yours, I adore you! Robyn xo
