A Walk To Remember: Lindsay + John | Burlington Engagement Photographer | Robyn S. Russell Photography

I fondly titled this blog post “A Walk to Remember” because I took a beautiful walk on a very hot and humid evening with Lindsay and John through Mt. Nemo for their engagement photos. It was a long walk. Very long hahah!! But it was so worth every single second. Here’s why. Meet Lindsay & John.

This is where he proposed. Altogether now…. awww! :)

We started our adventure on a long stretch of road … the forest was lovely. In fact, there was a little patch of light that was beaming down on them so we went to check it out and snapped a few shots.

It’s amazing what you can find literally 5 minutes from home. Yes, amazing spot is just up the street from my house! Who woulda thunkit!

Too cute and gorgeous to boot right?! Both Lindsay and John were beaming for their photos and it shows! It seems like we’ve been waiting for so long for this day to come. I first met Lindsay and John over a year ago so we’ve had a lot of time to get to know one another! It makes shooting them even more special! They really touched my heart.

I adore this shot. J’adore.

As we started walking back once we got to the “end of the road” where John proposed, we found a few cool locations to shoot at — old and abandoned structures, bathrooms .. you know, normal structures for a simple stroll through a conservation area! ;) And well .. you know how I roll. I’m inspired by my surroundings so I absolutely love the next series of photos!

*swoon* really … I have nothing else to say about this because I just love this so much. Clearly, I loved their entire session! It was refreshing to shoot in a new location and somewhere special for them. It was a beautiful night (despite the crazy flies that bite us to no end). After a quick change, we finished off the photos literally in the parking lot of Mt. Nemo. But you would never know it from looking at these photos. It just goes to show you that inspiration and beauty can pretty much come from anywhere and anyone. And clearly, I was inspired by Lindsay and John and their profound love for one another.

I am absolutely thrilled that your day is almost here. Friday cannot come soon enough … it’s going to be wonderful and everything you both hope and dreamed for. I am so glad I’ll be standing by your side to capture every stinkin’ second of it. Until then, Robyn xo
