I can truly say that I’ve spent the last year getting to know Michelle and Steve. No, really. They’ve had a year full of milestones and I’ve been fortunate enough to have been there every step along the way. I first met Michelle when she was a few weeks shy of having her first baby. Michelle was an excited mom-to-be. She had that glow and she looked absolutely amazing! Shortly after, she delivered a healthy baby boy, whom I had the pleasure of meeting only days after his birth. What an amazing experience it was to document this special time in their life. Little did I know … that in addition to having a new baby, they were also planning a wedding, which meant another milestone in their life in one year! I don’t know how they pulled it off planning their wedding with a new baby in their lives. All I can tell you is that their wedding was one of the nicest I’ve ever been to, from start to finish. So, without further adieu, I present Michelle and Steve. An amazing, happy-go-lucky couple, with an incredible zest for life (and who loves giving thumbs up for the camera whenever possible)! And umm .. yeah, those shoes! Killer.

Michelle and Steve got ready at White Oaks Resort & Spa. They had the most amazing room I’ve ever seen. So amazing, that you needed a special key (or someone to escort you) to gain access. Now that’s classy! While Michelle got her hair and makeup done by Teresa and Kara, my assistant for the day Alyssa (my saviour) was outside taking shots of the men. I also took a few minutes to capture some detail shots (you know me and details … it’s a must have). I just loved Michelle’s flowers. They were pure and elegant – the way flowers should be. Fascination and Rosery Florist did an amazing job!
And her dress … oh that dress. Gorgeous raw silk. Vintage inspired. The look on her mother’s face melted my heart.
Let’s not forget the guys. Those handsome men who enjoyed a little down time before the ceremony.
A few last minute photos of Michelle and her ladies before we made our way to the reception in Niagara on the Lake.
The church was packed and full of love. Michelle and Steve were so inspiring to watch as they shared their vows and a lot of laughs in front of their closest friends and family members. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the ceremony and watching everything unfold. Here are a few of my faves.
Michelle and Steve stopped for a kiss at the church doors. It all happened so fast, I didn’t have enough time to change my settings. Turned out to be a happy accident because I captured one of my favourite shots from the day! I love silhouette shots! There’s something so dramatic yet romantic about it.
Back at the Chateau Des Charmes, Alyssa and I finished off Michelle and Steve’s bridal portraits (and some champagne) while enjoying  a gorgeous afternoon! The staff at the Chateau Des Charmes were so good to us. In fact, there were so many people that made this day truly special, but I have to single out Lisa Garofalo and her assistant for making the entire day run so smoothly. They were amazing; professional, on the ball, and super friendly — just the kind of gals I love working with. You girls made the day go by so quickly and were a true asset to Michelle and Steve! We really enjoyed getting to know you! I hope I get to work with you again soon!
Michelle, I’m sorry to single you out here, but you have to know you are seriously fierce. Period. My goodness woman …. you literally took my breath away. Fiercocity. Yep, my word. Don’t hate.
Michelle & Steve, I hope this tides you over! You KNOW that I have so much footage to show you. It was a very long day of shooting (12 hours) so you know I’ve barely scratched the surface with this sneak peak. Just know, I’m working hard to finish off your gorgeous photos, so you can sit back and enjoy your day privately (and in its entirety) all over again. Until then, I leave you with my heart full with love in abundance for you! Love, Robyn xo
