This is why I love my job.
Not only did I get to spend the better part of the morning with a really good friend that I’ve known for years (and years and years LOL), I got to photograph her gorgeous family in a beautiful orchard in Milton on probably THE nicest fall day we’ve had this year! The colours were out of this world! I wanted vivid greens and reds for their backdrop (hence the orchard setting) but never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d find this gorgeous trail in the middle of the orchard!!!
The crisp yet soft and delicate yellow leaves that were falling in abundance were stunning and worked perfectly for their fall photos! And since our wagon never came back to pick us up (thanks a lot man!!), we ended up staying in this spot a little longer and walked back to the entrance (which actually wasn’t that far away haha). Desi, in particular, loved this part of the orchard! There was this cool rope swing that she so desperately wanted to try out. I don’t think she knew what she was doing, but she was convincing enough for the shot! Isn’t she a beauty!
OK … back to the orchard. We had a blast picking apples, catching up, and hanging out like old times. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen my girl Melissa, and as you can see, she is pregnant with her second child, and looking more beautiful than ever. In fact, it should be a crime to look this good pregnant! Doesn’t she look absolutely amazing!? What a beautiful family you have my dear, you did good! Oh and Frankie, you’re not so bad yourself!!! ;)
Melissa & Frank, thank you SO much for taking the long trip out to Milton from Stouffville for your family session. I had a vision for your photos so I hope it was to your liking! And it goes without saying that it meant a lot that you asked me to capture your fun loving family this way! This is just a “taste” … there’s much more to come! :)
On a side note, when I left the orchard, all I could think of was Frankie saying, “Remember the good old days when a bottle of juice cost $1.99” LOL!! And when Desi took two sips of her juice and left it at the cash, I couldn’t help but chuckle to myself at Frankie’s reaction. But I have him beat. I ended up reversing my vehicle a little too far back when I pulled out of my parking spot and almost landed in the stream. I’m not kidding. My back tire got stuck on a patch of mud. I felt the van slipping back so I stopped the car and jumped out. Then I screamed. Then, I had 10 guys come to my rescue! Good times! ;) Some things never change right?! Love ya babe xo
