Family is one of nature’s masterpieces ~George Santayana, The Life of Reason
I’ve known the Portillo-Mantilla family for quite a few years now. Their son Marcello takes lessons with the best guitar teacher around (aka my hubby of JWR Guitar, okay so I may be a little biased) and is quite the player! ;) Needless to say, I was thrilled when they contacted me for a family session. I took them to one of my favourite spots in Burlington where we had a great time walking through the premises, searching for hidden locations before the rain fell. Although I’ve been to Paletta Mansion quite a few times for sessions, I was thrilled to find a new spot, which I used as the perfect opportunity to get some shots of Mary and Daniel alone (Marcello’s gorgeous parents).
Photos speak to me — and the one of Mary and Daniel in the tree speaks volumes. It touches my heart to see the love they share, not only for themselves, but for their son. This is the reason why I do what I do, and in this case, a picture is worth more than a thousand words. I love the memories I captured for this amazing family. Mary, I know how important these photos are to you so I hope I did them justice!
Mary, enjoy your sneak peak, which you’ll see once you get back from down south! :)
