The name Isla means “island” in Celtic/Gaelic tradition. I also found out, after doing some research, that Isla is also a river in Scotland. It got me thinking about water. Water is pure. It represents life and is a symbol of calm beauty. I realised that the symbolism behind water defined this beautiful baby to a tee. And so, without further adieu, I present baby Isla.
I had such a wonderful time having this sweet baby in my natural light studio. I was able to try a number of setups due to the amount of space and light I have in my home! It was a great experience having a newborn come to me for a change. I couldn’t be happier with the result. Here’s a wee sneak peak for everyone!
She was so good to me! I’ve never met a baby girl that allowed me to pose her as much as I wanted without so much as a peep! She practically had one eye open for the entire session! And she only pooped on one blanket (trust me, that’s a good thing)! She even allowed me to attempt the coveted “chin up” pose. Her Daddy swore to me that she gets into this position on her own. Hmmm …. Â ;)
What an absolute doll she is!! Such sweetness! Kendra & Darren, thank you for trusting me with your precious daughter. I hope you love your sneak peak as much as I do! And thank you for the Australian lamb! I can’t say I’ve ever received meat as a gift before (wait, didn’t this just happen on Y&R!!) — it is very much appreciated! Seriously though, your baby girl is a dream and truly one of the most beautiful babies I have ever seen! Your family of four is complete! Congratulations!! x
