I like my guys tall, dark, and handsome! And this little guy was all of the above. OK, so maybe he isn’t that tall yet, but I’m sure he will be one day very soon. When Christian was born, his aunt called me and told me that he looked like a roman prince because of his dark, chisled features. She said he looked like Julius Caesar and she was right! This sweet pea was so tiny weighing in at a little over 6 pounds on the day I photographed him — and my goodness, did he ever have a full head of soft, silky hair! He had perfect skin — in fact, he was born with a natural tan! And I can’t forget how cute his little toes were! Gosh, I love newborn babies!
Christian was so good to me! He slept for most of the session, although it took a while for him to fall into a deep sleep when I first arrived. So, while Christian got some extra TLC from his parents, his older brother Charlie and baby niece Vivia (whom I photographed as a newborn in February) kept me company. When Christian finally succombed to slumber, I got down to business. He gave me two incredibly long stretches of sleep and only soiled one blanket! And when he was awake, he was calm and so incredibly happy. He was a photographer’s dream! He even gave me a wee smile! And I have the photos to prove it!!
Amy, thanks so much for asking me to document this special stage in your life. I hope your experience with me was a million times better than the experiences you had in the past! ;) I loved meeting your family and cannot wait to get the rest of the photos to you!
